MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation Review

Hello Beauties! <3
After purchasing the MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation a few weeks ago, I gave it a test-run and knew I just HAD to do a review. I've been using this foundation for about 3 weeks now. Let me start off by saying I've never had a foundation match my skin tone so well! I purchased this foundation in NC42. If your skin tone is similar to mine with a yellow undertone, this shade is perfect!
I'll start by telling you how I applied it.
-After washing my face (using Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub) I applied moisturizer.
-I then applied a primer (Elf Mineral Infused Face Primer)
-I took a small amount of MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation and dotted it on my entire face
-I used my Sigma Duo Fibre F50 brush to blend it.
-I applied another layer and set it using Elf HD Powder.
                                                                 During application:
-I noticed how hydrating it was to my skin.
-I noticed that it was very easy to blend using the Sigma stippling brush rather than the Sigma flat top kabuki brush I first used to apply it.
-The shade matched my skin without looking too yellow (MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation tends to be overly yellow) or too pink (red undertone).
                                                                 After application:
-I LOVED the fact that because it is gel-based it did not settle into the fine lines of my skin. I usually find this in A LOT of foundations.
-After two layers, it did not appear cakey at all.
-Full coverage is definitely achievable!
-Leaves skin looking very smooth and moisturized.
-Best applied with a stippling brush/duo fibre brush such as Sigma F50 or MAC 187.
-MUST be set with a powder or it will appear oily and will not last very long.
-BEST for dry skin. (my skin is dry to normal)

Overall, I love this foundation! I give it a 4/5 only because it does not last very long and who doesn't want to look great all day long? This product is GREAT for dry skin, very moisturizing, easy to blend (definitely using a stippling brush), does not settle into fine lines, leaves skin very smooth. If you are considering buying this product, go to your local MAC counter and ask a consultant to test it on your skin so you can see for yourself!

Prom 2012!

Prom 2012 was such an experience for me! I didn't attend, but I definitely thought it was an amazing day for everyone! This was my first major event, and I am happy to say it was a success. All my "dolls" looked so breathtaking; I felt proud to say I contributed. This event gave me a taste of the life of a professional makeup artist; I got to learn the struggles and benefits. Although it was difficult to balance time, I loved the feeling I got when people recognized that I resembled a professional! Overall, after the success of that night, I am certain this is something I love to do. I plan to continue freelancing and improving my skills everyday. Take a look at some photos from Prom 2012!
